Ideon Science Park

Ideon Science Park is like a life-giving lung for the whole of the expansive, northeastern area of Lund.
With the University, the Faculty of Engineering and the School of Management and Economics in its immediate vicinity, Ideon Science Park is the obvious meeting place. St Ericsson, Sony Ericsson, Axis Communications, Active Biotech  and Gambro all have their development centres right beside the Park.

The area
The area consists of several blocks that are named after the Greek alphabet. Alfa houses Sony Ericsson and about forty small and medium-sized companies. Ericsson and around fifty innovation companies can be found in Beta. Gamma's twenty or so companies are all specialised in the medical field. The companies in the Delta block cover several different sectors. In Ideon Innovation there are more than twenty incubator companies.

There are now more than 260 companies in Ideon Science Park, together employing approximately 2000 people in areas such as information technology, telecom, life science, cleantech and biotech. Ideon Science Park now has about 110,000 m2 of office and laboratory space.

Ideon Gateway
There is tough competition to become part of Ideon Science Park. A completely new building is planned and this will stand out from the crowd in more ways than just vertically. The idea is that Ideon Gateway will become a natural meeting place with 13,000 m2 of office space, conference premises, a restaurant, café, bank, shops and sky bar.
