The LIFT Incubator - Lunds NyföretagarCentrum is the first in the country to start an incubator for service companies.

VentureLab is the university’s organisation for stimulating entrepreneurship and for supporting and helping those students and new graduates who are thinking of starting their own business.

Lund Life Science Incubator is at present located at the Biomedical Center, a couple of hundred metres from Ideon Science Park. A business incubator that helps former life science companies to develop and commercialise their ideas.

What is an incubator?
An incubator helps entrepreneurs and innovators with active and adapted business development, financial, technical and commercial networks, and a creative growth environment with attendant office services. In other words, an incubator is very much more than a business hotel for newly started companies.
The incubator also provides contact with other entrepreneurs, resulting in networks being built for the future. Companies are given the structure necessary for long-term development and survival.

Ideon Agora
Since the turn of the year 2010/11, Lund’s innovation systems exist together in one joint, creative environment – Ideon Agora. Here, focus is on the incubator businesses, with the entrepreneurs meeting people from the different innovation system organisations in the café and around the coffee machines.
The organisations are located in Agora so they can be close to the incubator businesses and support them with commercial development, financing, and tips and advice.
